My Life in Toronto Commercial Real Estate, Confessions of a Real Estate Lease Negotiator

I started in Toronto Commercial Real Estate working for landlords in 1983 and in 1989 I opened my own real estate brokerage working as an Exclusive Buyer Representative.

I've worked with some of the best Toronto Commercial Real Estate Lease firms and as an apprentice to two of the best real estate negotiators in the country.

And I don't just mean that I just saw a few lease negotiations. I've had hands on experience in negotiating hundreds of them.

In my life in Toronto Commercial Real Estate I've walked the corridors of every major Toronto office building and many smaller ones with top negotiatiors.

I've eaten, and I've partied with them and been privy to huge real estate office lease negotiations worth many millions of dollars.

Of course, I've lapped up everything they told me and I've applied their techniques and strategies...

I've used and perfected their systems and forms to develop a system that has had incredible results in getting tenants the lowest possible rental rates for their office premises.

In the process, I learned a lot about how they think, what they want in a tenant and in a deal and how to best present this to them to ensure tenants get the "lowest possible rental rates.

And in my life in Toronto Commercial Real Estate I've also eaten, drunk and partied with the building owners, and their leasing teams. I've had cocktails in every major office building in the city and a lot of the smaller ones as well.
